Community projects

Traditional grant processes typically have funder-developed, rigid eligibility criteria that do not fully address community priorities or needs, or allow quick access to much-needed funds. At Fire to Flourish, we're taking a different, more innovative approach.

Our program utilised participatory grantmaking – an approach that seeks to shift power to communities, so that the people affected by decisions are the ones making them.

Grant funding was disbursed to community foundation partners in a series of granting rounds in our four partner communities: Tenterfield, Clarence Valley, Eurobodalla and East Gippsland.

As the Fire to Flourish program comes to a conclusion in March 2026, we will be updating and publishing a final list of funded projects shortly.
